Yes! Every pattern on Folded Book Art is completely free to download. Simply create a free account, browse the library and download as many as you like.
Book folding (also called book art or book origami) is the art of folding the pages of a book to create a 3D image or word when viewed from the front. Our patterns provide exact measurements for each fold so you get a perfect result every time.
You need a hardback book with enough pages to match the pattern. Each pattern lists the minimum number of pages (leaves) and the minimum height in cm required. Make sure your book meets both requirements before starting.
MM&F (Measure, Mark & Fold) patterns use only folding — no cutting. Cut & Fold patterns combine cutting and folding for more detailed results. Fore Edge patterns create an image visible on the page edges. Lenticular patterns create multi-image effects that change as you view from different angles.
Most patterns are PDF files. Some newer Cut & Fold patterns are available in CSV or XLSX format for use with spreadsheet software. The format is shown on each pattern page.
Create a free account, find a pattern you like, click the Download button and complete the free checkout. The file will download automatically and also be saved to your My Downloads page for future access.
Yes — all your downloaded patterns are saved in My Downloads in your account. You can download them again at any time.
There is a small limit per session to prevent bulk automated downloading, but normal use is unrestricted. Browse, download and enjoy!
PDF patterns can be opened with any PDF reader such as Adobe Acrobat Reader (free). CSV and XLSX patterns require spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
The patterns are for personal use only. Please do not redistribute, sell or share the files. You are welcome to share the link to the pattern page on this website so others can download for free.
